And here we have Soviets of the 95th rifles packed into a GAZ 67…
Seriously, these guys are all a bunch of swell guys and gals, and really do have an awesome impression.

Gulaschkanone: The German Field Kitchen in World War II
After seeing a pic of a Gulaschkanone I thought I’d share the link to my fellow reenactor’s book on the Gulaschkanone available on Amazon. Scott knows everything there is to know on the subject and wrote a fantastic book on it! It features info on the GK, period recipes from the GK handbook, and some information on reenacting. I’ve ate quite a few meals from Scott’s original GK and wish I could eat at it every day, three times a day!

CALLING ALL WORLD WAR TWO REENACTORS
I would like to get a blog together (yes a group blog) about…you guessed it World War Two reenacting. It matters not which side you’re on, if the impression is anything from a Wehrmacht grunt, or a French civilian, I want everybody who reenacts to be involved in this idea (especially female reenactors as I feel you gals are underrepresented in this area of interest).
Please message me, and reblog this so I can get a good cross section of reenactors into what could turn into a treasure trove of information for all of us, as well as to show folks on tumblr how we relate to as well as interpret this monumental moment in human history.Danke,
Michael ‘Dieter’ Kalb

That may or may not be a spade in my trousers..
I might just be happy to see you.
Fallschirmjäger:
These are the type of pictures I love the most. If you reenact, you really see a lot of badly done posed “in action” shots. Speaking as a Kraut reenactor, if you study fotos enough, you will notice most pictures are of them chilling, or in the midst of more menial activities (of course unless the pictures are from a Kriegsberichter).
It also shows that Germans were not really ones for sitting and doing nothing. They were always doing something, and I mean ALWAYS. Regardless I highly suggest you follow my Bruder Gebirgsjäger, although chances are if you are following me, you’re already doing the same with that chap.Posted on February 21, 2012 via REPARATIONS with 17 notes

I would like to introduce you to a good pal, and the future leader of the Hungarian Russki Frontoviki…..Terry Blaine, leader of the Soviet 95th rifles. He is the fellow striking the jaunty pose in front of the Soviet camp.
