Scott knows everything there is to know on the subject and wrote a fantastic book on it! It features info on the GK, period recipes from the GK handbook, and some information on reenacting. I’ve ate quite a few meals from Scott’s original GK and wish I could eat at it every day, three times a day!

These are the type of pictures I love the most. If you reenact, you really see a lot of badly done posed “in action” shots. Speaking as a Kraut reenactor, if you study fotos enough, you will notice most pictures are of them chilling, or in the midst of more menial activities (of course unless the pictures are from a Kriegsberichter).
It also shows that Germans were not really ones for sitting and doing nothing. They were always doing something, and I mean ALWAYS. Regardless I highly suggest you follow my Bruder Gebirgsjäger, although chances are if you are following me, you’re already doing the same with that chap.
